We make potato pancakes in Lithuania all the time, and you don’t really need to add ANYTHING to the shredded potatoes, only salt and pepper. We don’t squeeze them as dry, simply squish it all in a bowl with your hands and pour the residual water out. Thats it. They will stick because there’s a lot of starch in the juice. That’s way easier ♥️

How did her potatoes not turn brown or started oxidizing??? I just tried making hash browns and they were good. However they started turning brown within a few minutes? By a few mins, I mean like 5 mins….

Thank you for doing a Chanukah recipe!! I have never had Sauerkraut in my latkes before, but there is always a first time. Next you should make sufganyiot (Jelly Donuts!) another Chanukah staple. Need all the oil fried foods so everything can smell like fried oil for days.
