Mojo’s Bistro is a rooftop lounge located at Kamla Mills, Mumbai.

The spacious lounge has a energetic ambiance and plays groovy music.

It has a huge bar that serves freshly muddled cocktails along with indian imported spirits.

Mojo even offers sheesha and does live screening on match days.

Their food menu is a mix of global and fusion cuisine that includes Indian, European, Middle Eastern and Oriental.

It offers soup, salads, bao, sushi, dim sums, appetizers, mains, pasta, risotto, flat breads and desserts.

So here is what I had –

COCKTAILS :-

MOJO JOJO –
Vodka based cocktail made with strawberry syrup/sprite and lime, topped with beer.
One can sip the beer alone through the glass or enjoy the sweet strawberry concoction through the straw. But one who loves a balance can stir it out !!
It’s a cocktail that can be enjoyed in three ways !
Cool idea n it really works.

BUBBLE TALK –
Rum based cocktail made with lime/basil/kaffir lime and soda.
Nice, One gets a refreshing note of thai flavours !

SALAD :-

PICKLED WATERMELON & GOAT CHEESE –
Watermelon soaked with apple cider vinegar/chillies and rock salt overnight, then mixed with goat cheese/arugula and pine nuts, garnished with micro greens and served in a martini glass.
The chef has taken care that the watermelon does not have seeds…Nice !
Taste texture and flavour wise, the salad was fantastic !!

QUINOA –
Chicken marinated with buttermilk, grilled in the oven.
Served with quinoa salad made with veggies and dressing of orange and basil.
Garnished with a drizzle of balsamic vinaigrette.
Orange and basil flavour in the quinoa salad worked beautifully !!!
Even the chicken was soft and juicy, it had a mild smokey flavour.

SUSHI :-

TUNA TARTARE –
Vinegared rice stuffed with cucumber and tuna then rolled with nori.
Topped with minced tuna and garnished with mayo.
Served with gari/wasabi and soya sauce.
A perfectly made maki roll !!

DIM SUMS :-

– CHICKEN
– ‎VEGGIES

Served with scallion and chilli garlic dipping sauce.
The dimsums with nice, they had a thin rice flour outer and even their filling was flavourful.

APPETIZERS :-

REDUCED PAV BHAJI –
Crispy garlic bread topped with thick bhaji and melted cheddar n mozzarella cheese.
The pav bhaji was extremely flavourful, spicy n garlicy and it had that typical northern punch !!
Cheese and a crispy garlic bread base worked in it’s favour !

LOADED NACHOS –
Tortilla chips topped with liquid cheese/rajma/jalapenos and tomatos.
Served with salsa.
Indian spice flavoured rajma was used instead of refried beans in the nachos !
Sounds amusing but it gave it a Indian punch like no other !
Even the tomato salsa was made super tangy ! Nice 🙂

GALAUTI KEBAB –
Minced lamb, tenderised with raw papaya, mildly spiced, shallow fried to perfection.
Served over ulte tawa ka paratha.
Melt in your mouth texture, it was all about the age and quality of meat used in the preparation.

GUCCHI KE GALAWAT –
A vegetarian version of galawati kebabs, made with wild mushrooms, equally good !

ASSORTED CROSTINI –
A platter of baguette bread topped with different toppings like blue cheese/sun-dried tomato pesto/black – green olive tapenade and roma tomato – mozzarella.
Unique and varied flavours to savour in one dish !! Really nice !

TANDOORI CHICKEN QUESADILLAS –
Soft shell tortillas stuffed with shredded tandoori chicken/onion/green chillies/tomatoes and cheese.
Served with coriander chutney.
Indian twist to a mexican classic, can’t go wrong with juicy spicy tandoori chicken !!

CANNELLONI FRITTO –
Blanched spinach/ricotta cheese and sun dried tomatoes sauteed with garlic, rolled in pasta sheets then crumb fried to perfection.
Garnished with grated parmesan cheese.
Served with arrabiata sauce.
This is a deep fried crispy appetizer version of a classic baked cannelloni.
Works well with the beautifully made, San morzano tomato inriched arrabiata sauce !!

DESSERTS :-

BLUEBERRY CHEESECAKE –
Eggless cream cheese cake, topped and stuffed with blueberry compote.

APRICOT AND CHOCOLATE –
A eggless chocolate cake infused with apricots.

Both the desserts were nice, an eggless treat for pure vegetarians !

Overall, Mojo’s Bistro is spectacular !
It has everything you need to have a memorable evening.
Great ambiance, good vibes and excellent food !
Inspite of serving varied cuisine, mojo has done justice to what it offers !
The fusion dishes are well executed.
