too much oil, no sauce making, spaghetti should be cooked a while in the garlic oil. Not good Aglio Olio at all…

You ruin it. The spaghetti do not have to be drained. You need to transfer the pasta 1-2 minutes early into the skillet with the other ingredients, then add pasta water. U need the starch from the pasta water to bind with the fats of the oil to create a cream. Otherwise your missing the whole point.
As an Italian chef, this is my favorite dish. please do it right or don't do it at all.

Never use parmazan cheese, also u the stalks in the olive oil.
Put the pasta in the pan of olive oil en let ik cook for a few minutes.

Sorry mate, you got it wrong again. This is poor man's pasta, no cheese. And use those stems in the oil. Parsley is pretty bland, you'll find the stems have a bit more flavor in them, and you didn't salt your water. Close but you mucked up as soon as you put cheese in there.

Just make it exactly as he says 😀. That’s the perfect way. He is one of the guy who is has been rated by all those Italians and Mexicans towards making the best spaghetti!!! Making this for 3 years every week one time. My daughters eat it as I made it for the first time every time. Thank you Donal!!!

Made my most successful authentic aglio e olio today. Even though i crushed the garlic and didnt cook it, it was cooked by the very hot spaghetti and pasta water being added to it
I make a fantastic inauthentic one with chipotle chilli and smoked paprika, it has such an amazing heaviness to the flavour.
As pesudo vegan we top it with yeast flakes instead of parmesan, which is of course, optional.
