Hey, it’s Mayim, and I am successfully raising two happy, healthy, vegan children. Yes, it’s possible, but I definitely get asked a lot of questions from non-vegan folks about how and why it’s done. If you have questions, or if you’re curious how you can start raising a vegan family as well, check out this video!

About Mayim Bialik:
You might know me as Amy Farrah Fowler from The Big Bang Theory or from Blossom but there are so many other parts of me that you might not be aware of! I’m trained as a neuroscientist, I’m a passionate activist, an observant Jew, a perfectly imperfect mother, and I’m a complicated human being like many of you. This is the place where I wear all of those hats – and none of them have a flower on them! 😉

Holy shit, That's a pretty fucked up thing to willingly tell people.

So I know you are vegan and I know you are Jewish… do you not observe passover or do you modify it?

So reasonable…

Ioan-Cristian Simionov says:

Even B12 is found in a small quantity of Chlorella Vulgaris, an algae which is found in many places around the world. I do not recommend it but if you are a purist you can thrive with that too.

Aria willows says:

Raising your kids vegan is denying them of their rights to have the required animal nutrients. Not providing them milk id forcing them on a lifestyle where they will end up growing weak or in some cases stunted. Let the choice be their decision when they grow of age: till then give them a balanced diet between veg and non veg.

Spicy Raviolis says:

Veganism is bad for the environment and bad for the health of individuals doing it

Cool kid gaming says:

Just let your kids eat animals products outside of the house

So, yeah… Mayim… I bet you make some great vegan dishes… I am Vegan in a Family that isn't Vegan! it's a struggle and I respect my family but damn they eat so much death… I cannot stand it! Can you cook me a Vegan Meal?

Bean Flicker says:

GRAZING ANIMALS INADVERTENTLY INGEST SMALL INSECTS AND LARVA .
after a few centuries of turning us all vegan , will you then seek to convert wolves and lions ?

Midnight_Sun says:

People who raise their kids vegans are simply ignorant and stupid.

Andrea W. says:

I was vegan for 3 years and I am now back on organic animal products – I feel so much better. Their are no native vegan people. You shouldnt try this diet on kids..

Brittany R says:

I think i just fell in love 🤩

SoyKazuki says:

Hard to be a vegan since you have to self-teach yourself and learn entirely new things.

Maria Jones says:

I'm not vegan. I am a vegetarian of 21 years now. And would never go back to eating meet. I add no choice growing up but soon as I turned 19 veggie and happy. Each to their own. 💛

Constantine of Byzantium says:

Dont force your kids to be vegan

Mr Random says:

It's so selfish to impose a diet to a kid. Why not let them decide when they are adults. They will most probably eat a ton of meat when they will be older to compensate for their boring childhood.

effervescent_bubbles says:

veganism isn't a restriction…you could have bought some vegan cupcakes or a vegan cake to the birthday party next time
