It’s not really a cookbook, so much as a book all about taking the benefits of a Mediterranean diet and optimizing it with a plant-based approach. Check out this review of The Plant-Based Dietician Julieanna Hever’s newest book.

Sorry this is late guys. It was supposed to go up Monday, but life (and the weather!) got in the way.

I can't take large amounts of turmeric or cumin in a recipe either and I thought the Mediterranean diet was a thing 10 years ago. When I was in Morocco living there for many years it is also considered a Mediterranean country we went swimming in the Mediterranean everyday even though it's in northwest Africa. The bread we ate every day of Our Lives was made from barley and I know that you would love it it's very inside almost empty but still has a crumb and that's the bread we used to eat our food with. Baguette is what we would use for breakfast because Morocco was a colony of France until 1959. This has nothing to do with that book or her diet but maybe I just needed to remember Morocco for a minute.:-)

I would really like to see a review of Vegan Holiday Cooking From Candle Cafe by Joy Pierson. She was on a recent episode of Our Hen House and mentioned it had a seitan brisket recipe.

This was nice. Really interesting to hear your perspective on this. I don't know how frequently you find yourself reading "cookbooks" or other relevant food/lifestyle books, but i think this kind of video fits nicely with your channel.

Libby Griffith says:

The soup looks amazing. That bread looks interesting. I know would try it big time though. Too bad the cookbook doesn't have pictures. That's one of the joys of a cookbook to me. Love your channel.

I would like to see a review of Chloe's Vegan Italian Kitchen!

Renee Tahini says:

Are the recipes all Euro style? I cook mostly Eastern dishes when I'm not eating raw food (or your Thanksgiving roast!). Most of my cookbooks are modern western/less healthy and require a lot of fudging around when I don't want to use the oils etc. I'd like something a little more Euro-lentily. 🙂

I'm bullet-blender hunting and yours looks sturdy – can you tell me more about it?
